In Norse Mythology,Valhalla - Hall of the Slain, is a majestic, enormous hall located in Asgard, ruled over by the god Odin who overlooks all heaven and earth, and wherein he feasts with his chosen heroes, all those who have fallen bravely in battle. Chosen by Odin, half of those who die in combat travel to Valhalla upon death, led by valkyries, while the other half who died in battle go to the goddess Freyja who rules over her heavenly afterlife field, Folkvangr. The heroes are supplied abundantly with drink and nurishment from the she-goat Heidrum. The goat Heiðrún stands up on its hind-legs in Valhalla, biting the buds off the branches of that very famous tree which is called Læraðr. From her teats runs the mead with which every day she fills a cauldron, which is so big that all the worriers can drink their fill.
